Oil & Gas
Oil and gas facilities operate in classified hazardous areas where the safety of every electrical installation is a non-negotiable requirement. We bring hazardous area expertise, rigorous safety management and shutdown execution capability to every project.
Overview
Oil and gas facilities are defined by the presence of flammable materials and the classified hazardous areas that result. Every piece of electrical equipment in a classified area must be selected to the correct protection concept for its zone and gas group, installed to the requirements of AS/NZS 60079-14, and maintained through the periodic inspection program required by AS/NZS 60079-17. There is no margin for error.
Reprise Electrical's teams hold the qualifications and experience required for Ex electrical work in oil and gas environments. We understand the area classification drawings and equipment schedules, can interpret Ex certificates and installation requirements, and maintain the Ex compliance register that documents the status of every piece of classified equipment on site.
For turnaround and shutdown work, we are experienced in working within the permit-to-work systems that govern work on operating oil and gas facilities — and in the coordination required to execute within the tight windows that major turnarounds permit.
