Substation Construction & Maintenance
The substation is where the network meets the facility. We construct, commission and maintain HV/LV substations — managing network authority interfaces, protection systems and the full commissioning process from transformer energisation to LV distribution.
Overview
Substation construction is one of the most technically demanding aspects of industrial electrical work. The project involves the intersection of civil and structural works, HV electrical installation, protection engineering, network authority approval and a commissioning process that culminates in the energisation of HV equipment under network authority witness. Every step must be right.
Reprise Electrical manages substation projects from design review through to energisation and handover. We coordinate the civil package, install transformers and HV switchgear, develop the earthing system and install the protection and control panels. Our protection engineers set relays to the network authority's specifications and manage the commissioning and witness testing process.
For existing substations, we provide structured preventive maintenance programs that include oil testing, thermal imaging, insulation resistance testing and protection relay testing — managed to the asset owner's maintenance schedule and delivered with full test records.
